    JORDAN Lacke presents New Products

At this year’s Holz-Handwerk trade fair in Nuremberg, JORDAN LACKE focused on several new product innovations, such as the new two-component water-based coatings from the Aqua-Excellence line. In addition to the new products, visitors were also able to find out more about the Detmold-based lacquer manufacturer’s established product range.

JORDAN LACKE expressed great satisfaction with the visitor response and welcomed numerous interested professionals to its booth. These visitors came from a variety of sectors and were impressed by the wide range of products offered by the surface specialist.

The highlight of the JORDAN LACKE trade fair presentation – part of the Plantag Coatings brand based in Detmold – was the new 2K water-based coatings from the Aqua Excellence line.

These new products represent durable and resilient water-based coatings that stand out due to their ease of application. In addition to a coloured coating, the new line includes a clear coat available in various gloss levels, as well as a natural-effect coating with high durability.

In addition, JORDAN LACKE presented its new range of UV water-based coatings for industrial customers who value fast processing, cost-efficient operations, and efficient production workflows. The range includes a water-based UV primer, a UV pigmented or clear coating, and a solution specially developed for stair applications.

Visitors also responded very positively to the reliable products from the JORDAN Lacke product range. Particular attention was drawn to the Decoline oils, which impress with their high durability and ease of application.

Besides numerous technical discussions, there was still time for networking and exchanging experiences with customers.

JORDAN Lacke presents expanded range of water-based lacquers

As a long-standing exhibitor at Holz-Handwerk, Plantag Coatings will again be presenting its Jordan Lacke brand in Nuremberg in 2026. The combination of experience in the field of industrial coatings and coatings for professional carpenters and joiners forms the basis for the development of sophisticated products for a broad customer segment. At the exhibition stand, the surface specialists will showcase an extensive product portfolio and we will also be presenting several new products.

The focus of the trade fair appearance is on the expanded range of water-based wood coatings for professional users. In addition to a new 2K water-based coating range, a portfolio of water-based UV coatings will also be presented, with which Jordan Lacke is specifically targeting semi-industrial processors.

    New 2K water-based coating system

With its new ‘Aqua-Excellence’ line, Jordan Lacke is introducing a pure 2K water-based coating system that complements the established products in the 1K ‘Aqua-Magic’ series. The new 2K ‘Aqua-Excellence’ line offers a low-VOC alternative to classic 2K solvent-based coatings with comparable properties. In combination with the specially formulated hardener, it provides a 2K water-based paint system for professional applications that require increased chemical and mechanical resistance of the surface. Thanks to many years of expertise in the field of water-based coatings, the new transparent and coloured products impress with their easy application, fast drying and good flow properties.

    New water-based UV range

In addition to the new 2K ‘Aqua-Excellence’ system, products in the water-based UV range will also be presented in Nuremberg, further expanding the product portfolio. The target groups are industrial and semi-industrial manufactorers who require fast processing, particularly efficient production processes and very high mechanical and chemical resistance. In addition to a primer (Aqua-UV-Base), the new water-based UV range consists of a colour coating system (Aqua-UV-Color), a transparent variant in various gloss levels (Aqua-UV-Clear) and a water-based UV coating specially developed for heavily used surfaces and stairs (Aqua-UV-Step).

    A full range of options

Visitors can also gain information about the conventional solvent-based products that remain part of JORDAN Lacke’s product portfolio. In addition, the current range of oils, the modular Hydrostain-Modular staining system and care and cleaning products for furniture surfaces and wooden floors will also be presented.

JORDAN Lacke can be found in Hall 12.0 / booth number 12.0-601.

  4. Brochure with numerous updates

JORDAN Lacke releases an updated product overview

Under the motto ‘For indoors, outdoors, above and below’, JORDAN Lacke has updated and reissued its product overview. The revised brochure not only offers a clear structure, but also numerous new features in terms of content.

The proven classification of products according to application areas – for example, for furniture, kitchens and bathrooms, parquet flooring and stairs, outdoor areas or care and cleaning – has been retained. This clear structure has already received positive feedback in the past, as it enables users to quickly and easily select the right product.

With the company-wide introduction of the new SAP system in the Plantag Group, the JORDAN Lacke brand has adapted its product names and item numbers. Another key change is the gloss classification, which has been standardised across all coating systems. The aim was to create a uniform, easy-to-understand and market-oriented classification across all systems and company divisions. To make the transition as smooth as possible for customers, the new brochure contains a clear comparison of old and new product names, item numbers and gloss level designations.

However, the new product overview offers much more than just product-related information. It is supplemented by further information on the Plantag Group and selected reference projects that impressively demonstrates the performance and versatility of the products.

For a particularly quick overview, there is a compact summary at the end of the brochure, in which all products are clearly structured with relevant information such as area of application, application type, gloss levels, associated hardeners and mixing ratios, test standards, etc.

With this revised product overview, JORDAN Lacke once again underlines its commitment to combining high-quality products with maximum user-friendliness.

The new product overview is available from Jordan Lacke technical advisors and specialist dealers. You can also download it as a PDF file at www.jordanlacke.de under ‘Service’ in the ‘Downloads’ section.

As an internationally recognised leading trade fair for the Indian wood and furniture industry, the event from 6th to 9th March 2025 provided an ideal platform to present innovative surface solutions, strengthen existing customer relationships and establish new business contacts.

The main focus of the trade fair was the latest developments in the field of modern surfaces, above all water-based and UV-curing systems. Excimer technology was presented as part of a strategic cooperation with Plantag’s network partner IOT – Innovative Oberflächentechnologien GmbH from Leipzig. While IOT presented the machine technology, Plantag presented the matching excimer lacquers. Together, they demonstrated how pioneering industrial surface coating systems work in practice. This co-operation was well received by the trade fair visitors and underlines the position of the Detmold-based surface specialist as an innovative and reliable partner in the industry.

The trade fair appearance at IndiaWood 2025 was consistently characterised by a lively exchange with customers, partners and industry experts. The high visitor frequency at the trade fair stand and the constant positive feedback showed that Plantag is perceived as a trustworthy and customer-orientated partner. The ability to respond individually to customers’ specific requirements and challenges and solve them with technical expertise was particularly appreciated.

In addition, the fair provided an excellent opportunity for the Plantag team, which is otherwise spread all over India – Mumbai, Delhi, Jaipur and Jodhpur – to meet and exchange information in person.

A positive overall conclusion can be drawn from the trade fair: IndiaWood 2025 fulfilled the expectations and proved to be a valuable platform for dialogue with existing and potential business partners. The high quality of the conversations, the constant positive feedback and the large number of contacts made prove that Plantag is appreciated as a reliable and future-oriented partner in India and beyond.

Installation of a state-of-the-art production facility

PLANTAG Coatings GmbH has set another milestone in securing the future of the company with the installation of a state-of-the-art production facility in the Ohmstraße 8 in Detmold. The 2,500 square metre hall enables the production of high-performance, radiation-curing coating systems at the most modern level.

The new production facility offers an impressive stirring capacity of up to 35,000 litres per shift and can be operated in multi-shift mode if required. Ten dissolvers of different sizes ensure flexible and efficient production. Thanks to a storage capacity of 240,000 litres for binders in eight stainless steel tanks and an additional additive tank storage facility of 20,000 litres, the new plant is ideally designed for the manufacture of large production volumes.

‘The new production facility in Detmold is an important step for PLANTAG Coatings to meet the growing demands of the market and at the same time fulfil the highest quality and efficiency standards. With this investment, we are further expanding our capacity to produce innovative coating solutions and can respond even more specifically to individual customer requirements,’ says CEO Hanno Baumann.

Both UV-curing and water-based coating systems are produced in the new production facility. Production is semi-automated using a modern MES -system for production control, which guarantees consistently precise and reliable production. The integration of a transport shuttle allows direct connection to other raw material warehouses, further increasing efficiency and flexibility.

PLANTAG is proud to fulfil all water and hazardous goods permits for production in the new plant and emphasizes the importance of a safe and environmentally friendly production process. Another feature of the plant is the preheating of selected raw materials in special heating chambers, which ensures even more efficient processing.

The new production facility in Detmold underlines Plantag’s innovative strength and strengthens the company’s position as a leading manufacturer and supplier of high-quality coating systems.

  9. Jordan Lacke extends water-based coating range

Comments Off on Jordan Lacke extends water-based coating range

New additives to improve adhesion and levelling properties

As a renowned manufacturer of wood coatings, oils and stains, Jordan Lacke, a brand of Plantag Coatings GmbH, prioritizes the needs of trade and industry. The Detmold-based company has expanded its range of water-based coatings to ensure that a high-quality coating not only offers a long-lasting finish, but also has an optimum appearance and excellent adhesion.

With the AQUA-PRO-FLOW JA7403-0 and the AQUA-CROSSLINKER JH8413-0, two new additives are now available to customers.

The AQUA-PRO-FLOW JA7403-0 additive has been specially developed to improve the levelling properties and substrate wetting of water-based lacquers. The use of this additive makes the surface smoother and uniform, resulting in a perfect finish. It also improves the wetting of pores in open-pored water-based lacquers. Craftsmen and industrial companies can achieve high-quality results and deliver their customers with a first-class end product.

The AQUA-CROSSLINKER JH8413-0 is the second additional product to be added to the Jordan Lacke waterborne coatings range. This crosslinking component was developed to further improve the adhesion properties of Jordan water-based lacquers. AQUA-CROSSLINKER can be used to optimise the adhesion of coatings to various surfaces, especially glass. This ensures a longer service life of the coating and higher resistance compared to 1K processing of water-based lacquers. The increased pot life significantly simplifies processing.
